Dear Old-Time Music Lovers:

Few people have contributed as much to old-time music as Patty Looman. Through her mentoring, playing, and teaching, and by setting an example of the spirit of the music and its joys, Patty has influenced the lives of many students within and outside West Virginia. We thought it fitting that an old-time music festival be held in her honor, and PATTYFEST was born in 2002.

And so, we met on Saturday, June 6, 2009, for a day of music and merriment at the eighth annual PATTYFEST. Thanks, Patty, for the happiness you have brought to our lives through your music.

So many tunes...so little time...
